Human Resources Coordinator  
North Vancouver, BC 
Part-time - 22.5 hours per week  
 
Temporary six (6) month contract with the possibility to be extended. 
 
The Opportunity:  
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Human Resources Coordinator who brings professionalism, empathy, discretion, and a strong service mindset. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is early in their HR career and eager to learn and grow in a community-focused organization. 

Contract Details:  
  • Part-time, working 22.5 hours per week. 
  • Hourly wage is $25.00 – 28.00, plus 6% in lieu of paid vacation. 
  • Works onsite; free parking available and close to transit & amenities. 
  • Located in beautiful North Vancouver just up the hill from Deep Cove; we are surrounded by forests, walking trails, beaches and a great community.  
  • Parkgate Society shares a physical space with NVRC - Parkgate Community Centre, with access to a gym and a variety of programs.   
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Support the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the HRIS system; 
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle administration, including recruitment support, onboarding, offboarding, employee records and documentation; 
  • Assist with HR programs and processes such as performance review administration, reporting/metrics and health & safety coordination; 
  • Maintain accurate and up to date employee records and HR documentation; 
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines; 
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism; 
  • Communicate effectively with employees, managers and external contacts; 
  • Use Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, and related tools to support HR operations.  
Position Requirements:  
  • 1-3 years of HR experience preferred; equivalent administrative experience with HR exposure may also be considered; 
  • Experience in a not for profit and/or community-based environment is an asset; 
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada; 
  • Criminal Records Check clearance for employment, working with vulnerable persons; 
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check, including professional references.
